Als die Missstände für die Bauern und armen Leute im 16. Jahrhundert zu groß werden, schreitet ein Mann zur Tat: Michael Gaismayr. Obwohl privilegierter Nutznießer des gesellschaftlichen Systems, steht er wie kaum ein anderer für soziale Gerechtigkeit. Als Vordenker, der den Dialog suchte, war er seiner Zeit weit voraus.
